Highland Golfwits Course Layout
The aesthetic beauty of our tree-lined fairways belies their maturity. Our course includes a mansion that once belonged to the Balfour company's CEO of "finger ring fame." The mansion overlooks hole #8. Highland's nine greens are small and its undulating fairways are narrower than the U.S. Open fairways. There is water that comes into play on three holes including the challenging signature hole number 4.
Highland was first founded in 1892 and has been listed, by the USGA, as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. The course was architected by Pettis in 1901. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. The par for eighteen holes is 70 playing at 6,130 yards.
